Is a battery included?
It depends on the version you choose. With Battery & Charger includes everything you need to start right away. Tool Only (No Battery) is the sweeper on its own – battery and charger are not included, so only choose it if you already own a compatible 18V Makita-style Li-ion battery.
What kind of snow does the FrostSweeper handle?
It's built for everyday snowfall – fresh powder and moderate layers on driveways, walkways, steps, decks and patios. For the best result, clear soon after it snows, before the snow gets packed down or freezes into ice.
Will it work on ice or very deep, compacted snow?
No tool this size is made for solid ice or heavy compacted drifts. For deep snow, take it in layers or clear more than once during a long snowfall.
Is it really cordless?
Yes. It's battery powered – no extension cords, no gas, no oil, no pull-starts.
Is it heavy?
No. It's a fraction of the weight and size of a snow blower, and the adjustable handle with its second support grip lets you work standing upright, so your back isn't doing the lifting.
Does it work on stairs and uneven surfaces?
Yes – the compact head fits on steps, porches and narrow paths. On stairs, take slow passes one step at a time.
Will it damage my driveway, deck or lawn edge?
It's designed to move snow off the surface rather than dig into it. As with any tool, avoid loose gravel and objects hidden under the snow.
How does it compare to a gas snow blower?
A snow blower is the right tool for very large areas and heavy storms. The FrostSweeper is for everything else: it costs far less, needs no fuel or engine maintenance, and stores in a corner instead of taking up half the garage.
